A-Cra SME Credit Ratings

Small and Medium Enterprises play a very vital role in growth of any economy. Generally, SMEs face problems in meeting their funding requirements from financial sector and investors.

To support the growth of SMEs, A-Cra provides external Credit Rating Services for faster credit / investment decisions by financial institutions and investors. Our ratings are based on the objective analysis of the available information and clarifications obtained from the rated entities and the market reports. We follow the professional ethics to ensure that our ratings are reliable and unbiased.

The ratings are assigned to SMEs which have financial statements for at least one year. SME ratings shall be valid for one year from the date of issuance.

A-Cra Large Company Credit Ratings

A-Cra also provide Credit Ratings for Large Companies engaged only in manufacturing activities.

The ratings are assigned to large companies which have financial statements for at least one year. Large Company Ratings shall be valid for one year from the date of issuance.

A-Cra Insurance Company Credit Ratings

Insurance companies (Both Life and General) have big potential in developing nations. These companies need Credit Ratings for the purpose of getting new investors, finding JV partners and also for arranging re-insurance from international insurance companies. Credit Ratings also help the clients / policy holders in deciding the insurance company from which they wish to buy the policy. A Cra plans to start Ratings for the insurance companies soon.

Our Rating Process :
  • We initiate the rating process upon receipt of formal request / mandate from the rated entity / financial institution.

  • Client is provided with the list of requirements and broad framework for discussions with their management.

  • After getting the necessary information, our Rating Team consisting of rating analysts with required expertise and skills start the evaluation process.

  • The evaluation process includes evaluation of the financial statements, personal visits to the factory/business premises. We also depend on secondary source of information including our own market research about the client and their business.

  • After detailed evaluation, a provisional rating score is presented to Rating Committee which is an authority for assigning the rating.

  • Assigned rating along with the key issues is communicated to the company top management for acceptance.

  • If the company does not find the rating acceptable, it has right for appeal for review. Such reviews are undertaken if the company has been able to produce some additional inputs.

  • During review, company’s views are presented to the Rating Committee. If satisfied with the fresh inputs / clarifications, Committee may review the Rating and assign the Final Rating.
